Domestic ferry lines info:

You can get the ferries to the Greek islands, mostly from the port of Piraeus, but some of them from the port

of Lavrion. The Athens International Airport lies almost at the same distance between the two ports, with more

frequent buses to the port of Piraeus.

Easily you can buy ferry-tickets even the last minute by the local agencies of the harbor (left from the metro

Sikinos, Sifnos, Syros, Tinos, Folegandros et les "Petites Cyclades" Donousa, Irakleia, Koufonisia et Schinoussa.

IONIAN ISLANDS map

IONIAN ISLANDS: Most importants are:

Zakynthos, Ithaca, Corfu, Cephallonia, Lefkada, Paxi, Antipaxi, Ereikoussa, Mathraki, Meganissi, Othoni, Strofades.

Together with Kythira, which is however cut-off from the rest, opposite the southern Peloponnese (Lakonia), as well as

neighbouring Antikythira, they constitute the Ionian Islands.
