The group of Sporades islands is located along the east coast of central Greece, northeast of the island of Euboea in the north western side of the Aegean Sea.  They consists of 24 islands, that form the Marine Park of North Aegean Sea, four of which are inhabited:Alonnisos, Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros.
